Executive Director Unpaid Volunteer

Overview

We seek a motivated individual to serve as our unpaid volunteer Executive Director. While this position is open to all qualified candidates, we particularly encourage applications from college students at the undergraduate or postgraduate level in Business Administration, Non-profit Management, or related fields. This leadership role focuses on project management, strategic planning, organizational development, and fundraising. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for our mission. This remote position offers flexible hours (4-20 hours/week) and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in management while making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Oversee and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Develop and implement project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Monitor progress and ensure projects meet established goals and deadlines

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with project sponsor to develop and refine the organization's mission, objectives, and goals
  • Create and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of programs and initiatives

Leadership and Team Management

  • Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders

Fundraising and Resource Development

  • Identify potential funding sources and grant opportunities
  • Assist in grant writing and reporting processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors and community partners

Qualifications

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

Work Commitment
